Days Creek Charter School is a public school operated by a group of parents, teachers and community members as a 'semi-autonomous' school of choice within the Douglas County School District. The regularly scheduled meeting is the Wednesday before the second Monday of each month, starting at 6:00 pm, Days Creek School, Rm. 215. (Meetings may be online during the Covid-19 Pandemic.) Parents and other community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Time is provided during each meeting for public comment.

The Days Creek Charter School Board of Directors is looking for new members from among the parents, community members, school staff and students. We currently have open positions available. We meet once a month on Wednesday evenings. Board Meeting Dates (scroll down). Additional Workshop and Combined Boards meetings with the Douglas County School District #15 Board (elected board) are ad hoc. The meetings all must adhere to ORS Public Meeting laws.

The Charter Board determines the direction and policy for the educational operations of the Charter School, always focused on the mission to Inspire and Develop Learners, Thinkers and Leaders. The board membership, with our varied backgrounds, comes together sharing many different perspectives. The results are well thought through decisions. Our students reap the benefits - a better education in a loving community. We hope it is the best education possible for each individual child!

The three year open positions include Parent/Patron Position #5 (term ending 2023) and Positions #6 and #7 (term ending 2024).
